![]() WelcomeThe Australia-Netherlands Research Collaboration (ANRC) commenced operations in late July 2007. The project supports Australia-Netherlands academic relations and aims to bring together researchers from both countries to focus on Southeast Asia. The collaboration will provide a forum within which Australian and Dutch researchers can undertake cooperative research projects, nurture and develop young scholars, and create platforms for developing policy advice on Southeast Asia in both countries. Collaborations will involve Southeast Asian researchers as well as researchers from Australia and the Netherlands. To achieve these aims, ANRC will provide funding support for research teams to hold discussion-focussed workshops on particular research themes in Australia and in The Netherlands; and for students to undertake research work or advanced training. The project will also hold policy fora in both countries bringing together government advisors and researchers to discuss policy issues related to Southeast Asia. For further details about activities, go to Upcoming Events and Past Events. The project is being led by Dr Robert Cribb from the Australian National University and Dr Peter Meel from Leiden University. In the Netherlands the ANRC project is supported by the ANRC Advisory Committee. The 2008 round for Workshop funding has now concluded and successful applications have been announced.
